The Fourth Annual ALX Dog Walk Event, April 5, 2025, 7 AM - 11 AM!
Registration Opens 1/1/25 With Early Dog Registration Open Until 2/1/25!
- Registration Per Individual (with or without a dog(s)! – $35: Children under the age of 12 participate for free, but only registered individuals receive a draw-string Goodie Bag filled wtih a t-shirt, doggie bandana, and other special dog and human treats.

Early Dog Registration: Open from 1/1/25-2/1/25 at $30 per individual. Regular registration continues until Walk Day at $35 per person. Family/group discounts and military/student discounts apply, and children under 12 walk for free. In addition, we provide 100 complimentary registrations to military for the first 100 individual registrants!
- Military – Free for the First 100 to Register: The first 100 military receive a complimentary registration. Regular military registration is a discounted fee of $25. Please bring your military ID at check-in.
- Students – $25: We offer students a discounted fee of $25. Please bring your student ID at check-in.
- Families/Groups of 6+: Groups of six or more participants receive a 15% discount. Email: registration@alxdogwalk.com.
- Pre-Event Check-In 4/2/25: To simplify your Walk Day experience, we host a Pre-Event Check-In (location TBD).

* 7 AM: Begin arriving, check-in, explore Sustainability Festival tables!
* 8 AM: Welcome remarks
* 8:15 AM Sharp!: Beautiful 2-Mile dog walk down historic Union St and along the Waterfront Walk
* 8:45 AM: Celebration, doggie judging & festival fun – emceed by NBC4 Washington’s Chuck Bell
* 11:00 AM: Event concludes: Enjoy Oronoco Bay Park, the Waterfront, & explore Alexandria!

Winners of the judged competition receive a $100 gift certificate from The Dog Store. Interested contestants simply strut their stuff across the main stage at the Awards Celebration, and judges will select the winners.
