At the ALX Dog Walk, we’re all about pawsitive change! We believe that when we mix a little fun with a lot of learning, magic happens—especially when it comes to tackling big issues like living plastic-free and sustainably. That’s why we organize our annual dog walk event, where tails aren’t the only thing that’s wagging! We also provide special educational tools and resources to help raise awareness and make a difference, one step at a time!

The Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys & Girls Club enjoyed art education that integrated information about the plastic pollution crisis and sustainability into art projects.
To celebrate Earth Month, the group of 8-10 year-olds created a 30′ snake of single use plastic bottles, mosaics of plastic, a plastic dog (below!), and more.
All creations were displayed at the Kate Waller Barrett Branch Library in Alexandria.
