What do you get when you gather a fun group of people together and arm them with green plastic pick-up grabbers and gloves made of bamboo?   Answer:  A Green Team! 

Each Green Team picks a location in the community, and on a regular basis, they gather for a walk/run to pick-up plastic and other debris and enjoy the area’s beautiful outdoors while doing green works.  

Teams may choose to meet-up afterwards to continue socializing as well!  To show appreciation, Alexandria’s business community is offering special coupons and activities for those who participate!

Each Team Leader Volunteer receives a Green Team Kit that includes:   

• Six green litter grabber tools
• Six green bamboo/rubber gloves
• Ten Trash bags made from biodegradable and/or recycled materials
