Fourth Annual ALX Dog Walk Event
April 5, 2025, 7 AM - 11 AM, Old Town Alexandria, VA
1. Registration: Regular Individual registration (with or without a pup) continues until Walk Day at $35 per person. Children under the age of 12 participate for free (no Goodie Bag). Registered individuals receive a draw-string Goodie Bag filled with a t-shirt sourced from a fair trade organization in Haiti and printed in the U.S., a sustainably sourced doggie bandana from a fair trade company called Global Mamas in Ghana, and other special eco-treats. Remember that Hypergoat Coffee Roasters is serving up free ethically sourced coffee to the first 400 participants (who bring a cup), The Board of Lady Managers of INOVA Hospital will provide a healthy bake sale, and we ask that you bring your own water bottle (we’re a plastic-free event – 60 million water bottles are tossed every day in our country, fyi).
Note: While we cannot guarantee a Goodie Bag for registrations made after 3/15, we will do our best to have them available for pick-up on a selected day (date to be determined) as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
2. Military: It’s our annual tradition to provide the first 100 active/retired military to register with FREE registrations – please use the promo code MILITARY – must present your military ID at check-in. After 2/1/25, regular military registration is a discounted fee of $25.
3. Students: We offer students a discounted fee of $25. Please use the promo code STUDENT, and be sure to bring your student ID at check-in.
4. Families/Groups of 6+: Groups of six or more participants receive a 15% discount. Email us at registration@alxdogwalk.com to receive your promo code.
5. Pre-Event Check-In Day: To simplify your Walk Day experience, check-in and pick-up your Goodie Bag at our Pre-Event Check-In Day, Wednesday, April 2nd, 12 pm – 6 pm, Hypergoat Coffee Roasters, 215 N Payne St, Old Town Alexandria, VA.

* 8:15 AM: Beautiful 2-mile dog walk down historic Union St and back along the Waterfront Walk
* 9:00 AM: Celebration, dog show & Festival fun – emceed by NBC4 Washington’s Chuck Bell
* 11:00 AM: Event concludes: Enjoy Oronoco Bay Park, the Waterfront, & explore Alexandria

Winners of the Dog Show each receive a $100 gift certificate from The Dog Store in Del Ray. Interested contestants strut their stuff across the main stage, and our judges will select the winners.
